Exploring Florals

This class can be held as a one day or two day workshop.

Gardening on the west coast is almost endless. We start the year with lovely spring flowers and continue until late fall with a bright array to inspire our creativity. There is something very rewarding about painting flowers, with their bright palettes, sensuous lines and forgiving design.

Bring your favourite floral image and be ready to paint big and bold.

You will learn:

• how to do a strong drawing to start
• how to slowly add colour
• about glazing and how it will enhance your piece, by building it up one layer at a time
• how to finish off your painting - knowing when to stop
